Paravento Byōbu - Una biombatura a sei pannelli (Byōbu) con un paesaggio lacustre e grandi gru della Manciuria. - Giappone - Periodo Meiji (fine del XIX secolo)

A stunning Japanese six-panel screen with a gold-leaf ground, depicting an extensive lacustrine landscape with pavilions and architectures inspired by the Tang dynasty. In the upper section, a flock of cranes soars gracefully across the shimmering golden sky. The panels are framed by two splendid silk borders, while a finely crafted wooden frame, lacquered in red with black accents, completes and protects the screen. High-quality metal fittings. The screen can also be easily mounted on a wall or used as a room divider. The Manchurian crane is one of the most beloved symbols in Japanese tradition, associated with longevity, marital fidelity, and prosperity, while the pine tree represents strength and endurance. Byōbu (屏風), literally “wind protection screens,” are traditional Japanese folding screens originally created to divide spaces and today appreciated above all as striking wall-mounted paintings. --- The byobu is in good condition, with minor wear consistent with age. Please refer to the pictures for further details. The item will be carefully packed and shipped via DHL or FedEx, accompanied by the original certificate of authenticity issued by Mastromauro Japanese art gallery based in Milan, Italy. 372
