You are bidding on a perfect original & limited edition First US Press of Todd Rundgren, in near mint vinyl condition (!):
- A 1973 limited edition & original First US Press of Tod Rundgren ‘A Wizard, A true Star’, released on Bearsville Records BR 2133 with first press matrix runouts BR-1-2133 WW1 / BR-2-2133 WW1, with original blue die cut inner picture gatefold sleeve with surrealistic cover and die cut inner sleeve with lyrics & credits. No poem of Patti Smith. The pictures are an essential part of the LP-description, so watch them carefully. Cover: vg+ - Vinyl: Near Mint! Waw! Don’t miss out!
With 19 tracks and more than 55 minutes of music, this is one of the longest playing LP’s of all time! Rundgren called it a ‘crazy record’ in an unconventionally shaped gatefold. Rundgren produced, engineered and largely performed the album alone. ‘A Wizard, a True Star’ features fewer straightforward pop songs, a development after Rundgren’s experimenting with psychedelic drugs. Critics called the album ‘weird, incoherent, funny and, somehow, brilliant’. Patti Smith called it ‘rock and roll for the skull’.
This is a rare, legendary original 1st UK album in an amazing condition! This is an album every true classic rock vinyl-lover wants.
