A beautifully preserved Edwardian-era hair receiver, crafted in 1905 by renowned silversmith Albert William Parson (AWP), hallmarked in Birmingham, England.
This elegant vanity piece features:
A delicately cut glass base with intricate faceting
An ornate repoussé sterling silver lid with a central opening, typical of hair receivers from the period
Full, clear hallmarks including the maker’s mark (AWP), sterling lion passant, Birmingham anchor, and date letter “f” for 1905
These charming collectibles were once part of a lady’s dressing table set, used to collect hair from brushes for creating hairpieces or "ratts."
