Una coppia di grandi vasi cinesi 'medaglione rosa' a balaustra (H34,5 cm) - Porcellana - Cina - Dinastia Qing (大清), periodo Tongzhi (1862-1874, 同治), XIX secolo.
A remarkable pair of Chinese 'Rose medallion' porcelain vases with molded top-rim. China, late 19th century, Qing dynasty (大清), Tongzhi (1862-1874, 同治) or early Guangxu (1875-1908, 光緒) period. Rare!
Potted in baluster shape, four full-relief gilt dragons chasing iron-red sacred pearl applied to the shoulder, mouth/top-rim molded in spiral ribs. Finely painted and richly gilt, body with alternating panels of mandarin interior scenes and flowers, exotic birds, fruits and insects groups, separated by gilt and green blossom ground with butterflies and pink-blue bats in corners, blue key-fret band with butterflies on top. Four cartouches with flowering peonies on white ground surrounded by foliage and blossom on gilt ground on the shoulder. Two panels depicting interior scenes with court officials on the neck. Top-rim gilt.

Dimensions: height - 35,4 / 35,2 cm; diameter - c. 18 cm. Weight - 2822 / 2784 g.
Provenance: private collection, Paris, France.
Conditions report: excellent condition for the age. One vase in with two small glaze-chips on wall only. Other with small part of dragon's mouth missing. Both - minimal wear to painted decor and gilding and minimal firing faults. Strong white light tested. Check pictures for details.
