The Kontra fruit bowl was designed for Stelton in 2007 by Maria Berntsen, one of the leading Danish industrial designers of the last 30 years. The combination of bamboo and stainless steel are in harmonic balance - the warm glow of the bamboo contrasting elegantly with the mirrored reflection of the steel. A bowl that can be used both for dry salads, nuts or as a striking holder for fruit.
The bowl is FDA approved.
This superb item is a fine example of modern Scandinavian design. It is no longer in production.
It is a large bowl (29cm diameter), in clean, used, near-mint condition with only very light patina on the base from storage (e.g. see photo #13). Photos show the bowl from all sides.
I take great care when packing (see reviews) and ship securely with insurance.
