Beautiful blue-and-white Chinese porcelain tea caddy, made in Jingdezhen during the Kangxi period (1662–1722). The vessel is decorated with six panels: three depicting ladies and three depicting playing boys. The base is marked with an artemisia leaf. The silver mount, bearing a sword hallmark and an unidentified maker’s mark (IH), is a later Dutch addition dating to the early 20th century. Condition: very good, apart from a very short tension line in the foot ring (see photographs).
