大型カシミールショール - 350 × 170 cm - France - 19世紀

極めて華麗で堂々としたカシミヤ製の大判ショール、豊かなペイズリー模様をあしらい、19世紀中頃の工芸技法で作られた、いわゆる「カシミール／ペイズリー」と称される大判ショールの趣を、第二帝政の時代に携えた一品。

extraordinarily dense, symmetrical and colorful decor, typical of large jacquard looms:

– monumental boteh/paisley motifs

– star-shaped dark center

– extremely fine continuous border weave

– palette of red, antique pink, blue and ivory

The piece is of a large format: about 350 × 170 cm, perfect for use as a shawl, bed throw, wall tapestry or grand interior decoration. These formats are rare and highly sought after.
