この遺物は初期の旧石器時代のアケレアン期の二面打製石器で、サハラ地域の石器文化を代表するものです。そのアミグダロイド形（アーモンド形）と、両面による削器による加工は、アケレアン文化の特徴です。
技術的特徴
材料：おそらくクォーツァイトか赤茶色の燧石で、入手容易性と削砕性の特性からリビアのサハラで一般的に使用される素材です
加工技術：二面打製、アケレアン技法に従う
形状：基部が広く先端が細い対称的なアミグダロイド形
寸法：長さ165 mm、幅100 mm、厚さ35 mm
この道具はおよそ30万～40万年前に高い可能性で年代付けできる。
ホモ・ハイデルベルゲンシス（あるいはホモ・ローデシエンシス）が恐らくこの道具を製作した。
多用途の道具：肉の切断、皮のこすり、根の掘削、あるいは投槍・打撃用の武器である可能性もある。
