金粉を保管するための箱には二つのタイプがあります。銅製の長方形または正方形の蓋に幾何学的紋様や動物的・人間的主題をあしらい、 koudouo と呼ばれるものと、もう一方は abampouroua と名づけられた箱で、打ち出し板を叩いて作られたブラスの葉で作られ、リベット留めされた卵形の箱で、銘刻は刻筆で刻まれた紋様を特徴とします。G. Niangoura-Bouah の著作『L'Univers Akan des Poids à peser l'Or』に基づく『Poids Non figuratifs Vol I』、p. 88。

Les boîtes servant à stocker la poudre d'or sont de deux types: celles en bronze rectangulaires ou carrées aux couvercles surmontés de symboles géométriques et de sujets zoomorphes ou anthropomorphes qui sont nommées koudouo. Coulées selon le procédé de la cire perdue, leur couvercle pouvait parfois servir de poids. L'autre type, de boîte, nommée abampouroua, correspond à des boîtes ovales réalisées en feuilles de laiton martelées et  rivées, comportant des motifs gravés au burin. Selon l'ouvrage de G. Niangoura-Bouah "L'Univers Akan des Poids à peser l'Or". Les Poids Non figuratifs Vol I, page 88.

Cette boîte rectangulaire koudouo est dotée d'un couvercle surmonté de quatre oiseaux côte à côte.
