この標本は研磨されたラピスラズリのフリーフォームで、ラズライトを多く含む部分が深い青色から紫がかった青色を生み出しています。石は不規則な方解石の脈理を、薄い灰色からオフホワイトの色調で示し、変成再結晶過程で形成されました。微量の鉄属金属色の内包物が、微量の黄鉄鉱に対応する可能性がありますが、多くはありません。
