Authentic Japanese WWII Emperial marine officer's katana (Navy Kai Gunto). The blade was forged between 1926-1945 (no date) by Gendai smith Kaneshige and signed "Shuko Kaneshige". The blade has original old polish and shows some fine scratches and stains. There are no visible forge errors, no curve in the blade, no crack or chip and the "cutting edge" is very sharp, guaranteed no "hagire". "Gunome" hamon with deep o-maru temper in the point, "ubu nakago", "motogasane": 7 mm, "motohaba": 3 cm, length "nagasa": 64.5 cm, total length in koshirae: 110 cm
The koshirae has minor signs of wear, the saya and tsuka have been covered with polished black stingray skin. The sword in a good collector's condition. Will be shipped with registered mail. (Switzerland, Russia and China not included).
