Authentic Japanese WW2 Imperial Navy officer katana (Kai Gunto), Showa period (1926-1945).
Very good condition, signed.

Authentic WW2 Imperial Japanese Navy officer katana (Navy Kai Gunto). The blade was forged between 1926-1945 (no date) by gendai smith Kaneshige and signed "Shuko Kaneshige". The blade has old full polish and shows fine scratches and stains, but no rust, no nick, no crack, no bend and cutting edge is sharp. "Gunome" hamon with deep o-maru temper at the point, "ubu nakago", "motogasane": 3 cm, "motohaba": 7 mm, length "nagasa": 64.5 cm, length in koshirae : 110 cm. The koshirae has minor wear and no flaws, the saya are covered with polished black rye skin. The sword is in very good condition. Will be sent insured (Switzerland, Russia and China excluded).
