Fine Wakizashi in Koshirae - Japan - Early Edo.

The form of the blade is shinogi-tsukuri with iorimune and a ko-gissaki and notable jihada. The hamon is suguha, the hada visible and presumably masame. The tang is ubu with two mekugi-ana, the yasurime is kiri, with end of the tang kiri-jiri.


Nagasa: 46.2 cm.

Total length (in saya): 78.3 cm.


Provenance: Formerly in a Hungarian-Japanese collection.

Condition: As seen in the photographs, hasaki extremely sharp, NO nicks, few scuffs on saya.
