Walloonse sword with punch on the blade - ca. 1680

Description
Walloonse sword with punch on the blade - ca. 1680
In good condition - forged iron

This sword is best known under the name "Walloon", probably because the first were exported from France to the Netherlands and Northern Germany via Wallonia
The wide, slightly curved blade has on both sides an erosion on the dorsal surface, is one-sided sharp cut (the point on both sides).
Also, the blade is on both sides marked with the shape of a scimitar.
Important, this weapon still has the both original cross guards.
The grip (probably replaced) is of twisted iron and copper wire and is trimmed with Turkish buttons.

The condition of this sword is good.
The pitting (on the blade) is in accordance with the age of the weapon.
The length is 89 cm.
