Antique Japanese sword in koshirae (o-wakizashi), Muromachi period.
Good condition.

Antique Japanese sword (shinogi-zukuri o-wakizashi) in koshirae. The blade was probably forged in the Muromachi period (15th/16th century), mumei (not signed), school and manufacturer unknown. The blade has old polish, shows some fine scratches and stains, well visible "hoso-suguha hamon", "o-surige nakago" (cut). Length "nagasa": 58.5 cm, length in koshirae: 90,5 cm, "motogasane": 5 mm, "motohaba": 3 cm. There is no bend in the blade, no crack or chip and "cutting edge" is sharp, minor "kizu", guaranteed no "hagire". The saya has paint damage and wear, the tsuka is decorated with beautiful old kodogu (sword fittings). This wakizashi is complete and in good collectible condition.
