Antique Japanese sword in koshirae (o-wakizashi), Muromachi period (16th century).
Good condition, signed.

Antique Japanese sword in koshirae (shinogi-zukuri wakizashi). The blade was forged and signed by sword blacksmith Shigemasa from Hizen province (SHI230, Toko Taikan ¥ 2 m) in Muromachi period. The blade with bohi "" (grooves) has good old polish and shows some fine scratches and small wrought repair, beautiful "gunome hamon" with deep temper in the point, "mokume hada", "o-suriage nakago" (reduced). Length "nagasa": 54,5 cm, length in koshirae: 76, 5 cm, "motogasane": 5 mm, "motohaba": 2,5 cm. There are no visible forging errors, no bend in the blade, no rust, no crack or chip and "cutting edge" is very sharp. " The saya has paint damage, wear, the beautiful antique tsuba and kodogu make this wakizashi. This wakizashi is complete and in good manifest.
