1937 Pattern Web Equipment (also known as ' 37 Webbing ') was part of the uniform, in which material could be carried. 37 Webbing has the 1908 Pattern and replaced the 1925 Pattern , but used this earlier drafts, of course, as a base. It was the standard uniform for soldiers of the UK and the Commonwealth from its introduction in 1937, during WW2 and in the post-war period, until it was replaced by 58 pattern webbing.

The clear markings on the inside refer to Z.L. & T. Ltd.; i.e. Zephyr Loom & Textile Ltd. of Guelph Ontario in Canada.
This neat WW2 Canadian "37 webbing" map case is complete; with strap, bordeaux colour fibreboard with clear plastic support to embed the maps and the brass clasps and buckles are all in place. Markings are clear, on the inside. All the press buttons work as it should.
