A densely embroidered, square cover The base material is a light woven cotton. On this is a comprehensive embroidery consisting of light and dark brown threads (some of which are metal) in many colour tones. The border which runs around the outside has a red background with a continuous light brown s-shaped curve with points on top. The seal of the Sultan (tughra) probably belonged to one of the last Ottoman Sultans of the 19th century (either Sultan Abdülmecid, 1839–1861, Sultan Abdülaziz, 1861–1876, or Sultan Abdulhamid, 1876–1909). The Sultan's tughra is surrounded by stars, trees and characters.

A complete piece, no damage.
