Bristol - Lodekka double-decker bus - 1957

Unique English double-decker bus for sale: with the "open rear entrance" on the back. These models are becoming very rare. English double-decker bus Bristol Lodekka Year of production 1957 Type LD6G with Gardner 6LW diesel engine It starts, drives and brakes well. The previous owner had the engine overhauled approx. 8 years ago. The engine runs very well, it always starts straight away. Everything works, from speedometer, to indicators, to temperature gauge and brake lights. The tyres are good with ample profile. Fully updated and resprayed about 10 years ago. The paint is neat but consistent with its age (it has some small marks after peeling off some old stickers). It was then converted into a mobile cafe/restaurant, with various cosy seats and benches. It has a unique look. The top floor has a built-in bar, including draught taps and cooling. The bar + tap + cooling alone are worth several thousand euros. It also has a built-in chemical toilet. Very complete! The original benches + seats from another Lodekka bus are included, you can adapt it to an original interior. It drives well and it’s in working condition. It has a truck registration. In order to transport people, it will need to be approved as a bus. The specifications for this can vary by country. Because the bus is more than 50 years old, it is exempt in The Netherlands from periodic vehicle inspections (or MOT’s). European proof of compliance is included. This bus can be viewed and picked up in Delden, Netherlands.
