Very nice portrait representing two Moorish (the Moors were Muslim black women), on bottom of oasis, Tunisia.

Professional photographer, Garrigues participates in 1884 with Delsol archaeological mission Cagnat and Saladin. His studio is installed 14 avenue of the Commission in Tunis. He is the official photographer of the bey. He has been awarded with medals at the Paris exposition in 1889, at the exhibitions of Tunis and Toulouse in 1898. His studio was taken over by Lehnert and Landrock in 1884, but J. Garrigues moved then 5 avenue of France, where he continued the sale of his prints.
