Used C. Mahillon trumpet bought in the 1980s. After being used int he local brass band for years, it has not been used for around 15 years. Has signs of wear including dents.
The C. Mahillon firm was founded in 1836 by Charles Borromée Mahillon (1813-1887). After his training in Great Britain, he returned to Brussels to found the Bachman & Mahillon firm along with his brother-in-law C.G. Bachman. They opened a store in London in 1844 and three years later they offered woodwinds as well as brass instruments. Around 1856, C. Mahillon is the most important wind instruments factory in Belgium. They supply the army among others.
