'Oriental rug in chocolate - in great condition' - With certificate - 2nd half previous century - approx. 60,000 knots per m² - Hand-knotted

This is a hand-knotted Tibet carpet, made of durable natural materials. Imperfections in the patterns and shape make this carpet unique and emphasise its authentic and traditional character.

A Tibet carpet is often made by nomads from Tibet.
The patterns are often simple and often divided into planes.
Tibetan carpets are made of goat's or sheep's wool, and often have natural colours, on a cotton warp (bobbin thread).
The carpets are of a thick and heavy quality. The colours are not uniform, due to the colour of the animal whose wool is used.
Nepalese rugs are excellent carpets for regular use, with high durability.
This is a used rug, which has become more beautiful and richer in character due to the natural ageing process.

Main colour: Chocolate
Accent colours: Cream and green shades.
Specifications: Wonderful shine; Lots of nap; Rich abrash (natural colour variations).
Signs of wear: A single stain on the fringe (see photo 5)
