Pair of Bronze/Brass cloisonné enamelled vases - China - 2nd half of the 20th century.
In very good condition

Pair of bronze or brass vases, cloisonné enamels with dragons and phoenix decoration... Two sacred animals in China. Symbols of the Emperor and the Empress. The dragon and Phoenix couple symbolises the conjugal community and a numerous lineage. The phoenix is also a symbol of life and immortality.
With enamel bands in various patterns around the 2 vases neck and foot.
A stamp on the 2 vases.

Plinth in very good condition.
