Lovely Volvo B16, PV 444E, built in 1953, from Finland. Not much is known about the history of the vehicle but we suspect there have been three previous owners.
As far as the bodywork goes, the car is in a rust-free , pleasing condition. As is consistent with its age, the car has a few paint defects and scratches, but these just emphasise the charm of the vehicle. You could, if you wanted to, foil-coat the car beneath the window frames, creating a two-tone appearance. The tyres of the car are from 2016 and in a good condition.
The sleeves and rubbers of the bearings must be changed and the engine is losing oil on the valve cover gasket and the oil sump. The shock absorbers are also in need of an overhaul. All in all, straightforward work that an experienced layperson could do himself. The vehicle is roadworthy and can be driven from Helsinki to Hamburg.
All technical components are in working order. A special highlight is that the car has been fitted with a 220V plug. The interior is intact and functional. The car has a CD radio. The rear seats are flawless, the front seats ought to be recovered. The lock on the driver's side is faulty. The KM data has been read and cannot be 100% verified. The vehicle provides an excellent starting point for someone to restore himself.
The vehicle can be viewed during our opening hours Mon-Fri between 8:00-17:00 and on Saturday, between 11:00-15:00 in 22419 Hamburg. On successful completion of the auction, collection is also to be arranged from 22419 Hamburg.
We would also be happy to provide an individual quote for shipping the car to its final destination.
