Hans Hartung - Olympische Spiele 1972

Description
Hans Hartung - Olympische Spiele 1972
Lithograph - Not signed - 1000-1500 - without frame - 1972

In 1935, in order to avoid the Nazi persecution, Hans Hartung left Germany and moved to Paris where he lived in precarious conditions. He served in the Foreign Legion, worked as a agricultural worker and then, in 1942, he arrived in Spain where he spent 7 months in prison. He then was reformed in the Legion in 1945. Naturalised French, in 1946, he was awarded the Cross of War 1939–1945, with the military medal and the Legion of Honour. Original lithograph, class 2, this is not a offset print, print run between 1000 and 1500 copies. The lithograph is in excellent condition, I cannot write “mint condition” because it has one small imperceptible sign above and one below. Above €550 it will be sold with a new frame, matte black, infrangible plexiglass glass, 2.5 x 1.5 cm edge, as shown in the photo, and then prepared and packed with care. Otherwise, the lithograph will be gently rolled and shipped in a very secure and professional way by courier and tracked mail.
