Christian Silvain (Eupen, 1950), 'master of the small collage', is a famous Belgian contemporary Belgian (Flemish) painter, drawer, graphic artist and sculptor producing 'superrealism'. Self-taught and influenced by the Belgian surrealist painter Paul Delvaux and Salvador Dali. He exhibited at art fairs in Europe and USA and art galleries around the world (Belgium, Germany, New York, Paris, Aix en Provence, Amsterdam). His work is found in more than 70 museums and bare collections all over the world (Brussels, Tel Aviv, Ludwig Museum, Prague, Vienna, Ottawa, Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, Nice,...).
In 1992 he established the Silvain Foundation in Eupen, Belgium.
