A beautifully executed bronze bust of a gentleman with awards.
Signed on the side: F.F. Roubaud, Felix Francois Roubaud (1825 - 1876).
Also dated 1856.
Beautiful patina and in good condition.

Roubaud studied sculpture, including at the École des Beaux-Arts' in Paris, where he was one of the last students of the famous artist James Pradier (died in 1852). In Paris, he made decorations for several public buildings, including the Louvre and the Palais du Luxembourg, some of which very colossal.
In addition, he made a large number of portraits in the form of sculptures, busts or medallions.
