John Wilson - Very fine - 1 Original artwork - Fine Arts Films

Measures: 31.5 x 26.6 cm - from the title sequence - animator: John Wilson

Original production cel from the animated title sequence of the popular film Grease (1978) with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. This piece of animation was created by John Wilson and his studio Fine Arts Films. The cel can be seen right after Danny (John Travolta) has had his hair greased and a hand with a comb appears to style it. Interestingly, that whole movement was made using this cel, because they simply moved it frame for frame over Danny’s animated hair. This means the cel is visible for over three seconds. The cel was used standing upright, and therefore has the perforation on the right. The full title sequence of Grease can easily be found on the internet.
With a laser background of the Grease logo and a picture of Travolta and Newton-John.
