Fred Julsing (1942-2005) worked for many years for the Toonder Studios. Over six years he did the sketch work for the comic Heer Bommel In addition, he drew the strips Kappie, Panda and, ultimately, Tom Poes.
In the 1970s he joined the comic weekly Pep. His most well-known work were there the strips of Wellington Wish, de Broertjes Samovarof and a large number of fairy tales. Also for the magazine Baberiba - of the same Publisher - he has done a lot of work.
He also made cartoons, illustrations and comic strips for newspapers, youth-and family magazines such as Het Vrije Volk, Vrij Nederland, VPRO-gids, ANWB-gids, Okkie, Jippo, Taptoe, Journaal 2000 and Margriet
