A beautifully and detailed carved okimono, showing a proud and well dressed boy on the "tango no sekko", the boys´ festival every year on May 5. He is keeping a censer in his hands and his elegant kimono is painted with chrysanthemums, the imperial flower.
Unsigned., around 1900-1930.

Excellent condition

Japanese Netsuke from the Edo period and therefore produced prior to 1947. In compliance with European Union regulations on ivory trade.

The item comes with a certificate of authenticity which will be sent to the buyer.
