Rare and antique ivory netsuke depicting 2 mice on a bag of rice.
The mouse is a Zodiac animal which represents
the north compass point.

Fine dark antique patina, an item from the Edo period,
In very good condition, consistent with its age, with some natural veining in the ivory.

Size: 6 cm.
