Netsuke in ivory and shibayama depicting Fukurukuju lying down reading a parchment, with an unusual hat on his head.

Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912).

Beautiful quality and refined shibayama decoration in horn, lacquer, mother of pearl and metal.
Very good condition.
Signed on the mother of pearl under the base.

Meiji period.

Size: 4.3 x 3.3 cm.

Japanese artefact from the Meiji period.
The Item was produced prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations on ivory trade.
