A Fine Indian Stone Head of Bodhisattva Gupta period ca:500-700 AD-North India 32 cm
Good condition

A large stone head of Bodhisattva. Kushan/Gupta p ca: 500-700 A.D, from Northern India.
With a serene face, bow-shaped mouth and full lips beneath an aquiline nose, arched eyebrows in relief and heavy-lidded eyes, wearing ear jewels, his hair secured with a high turban elaborated with festoon and strings of pearls.

Height: 32 cm (Height with hardwood custom stand is 43 cm)
Net weight 11 kg
Condition: In very good condition, Intact as a fragment with some minor aging chips. ( See images for more details)

Provenance: Acquired from local Dutch art market in 2002. Current property of the seller.
