It consists of 24 consecutive volumes from 1773 to 1805 with index and medal of the Earl of Buffon. The last two volumes (25 and 26) on birds are missing or have never been part of this collection.

Condition: good - with endpapers, well attached to the bindings, all spines are solid, but sometimes the leather is loose and mostly included, see pictures. The leaves and plates are not damaged by animals or moisture and are of exceptionally beautiful quality. Engravings by De Sève and Buvée.

The dimensions are: books: 25 × 30 cm. Paper: 26 × 21 cm. Plate edge approx. 20.5 × 15.5 cm. Length of 24 volumes: 110 cm, approx. 10,000 pages
