This is a 1953 MG YA barn find with a complete Dutch registration.
The block was ever rendered unusable, an original MG TD block with double carburettors was fitted later.
Much has been done to the car, for example the sills are already replaced and also the rear wheel arches have been improved, please see the photos.
It is a hard car, not rusted through.
The car has original parts and some extra parts.
Replaced in 2018 were:
-Many rubber parts.
-Trunk (boot) hinges.
-Ignition is fully restored.
-Fuel pump revised by a professional.
-A nice set of wind-tone horns with new brackets is included separately.
No oil leaks and the oil pressure is 60 psi.
-The rare Smiths pump, copper tubing and jack stand for the front axle of the car are supplied separately. The fluid reservoir is still under the bonnet!
-Very rare set of wire wheels plus a spare wire wheel.
The carburettors, the headlining, sliding roof and the wiring still need attention, for example, the lighting is not connected.
You can opt to finish it in its ‘oil rag’ condition, there are only few of them left, and it is an excellent investment particularly with interest rates at 0.1% (in the Netherlands).
The car can be viewed and picked up in Abbenbroek, the Netherlands.
Delivery is also an option, in consultation.
