Victorian/Edwardian baby gown handmade from soft cotton and lace fabric, very delicate intricate stitchwork embroidered lace detail around the hemline of the gown, neck and sleeves, and finishing touches of flower and leaf pattern at the top and back of the gown, fastening at the top with 3 tiny buttons made of pearl with shell backs. Well preserved, beautiful item that unfortunately does have some age spot, which could be gently washed through, but has been left untouched in original condition.

Original label intact - W Hayford & Sons, By Appointment to H M The Queen, Sloane Street, a well established London based company known for making fine quality children's clothing from about the late 19th century.
