A wonderful French 1930 art deco chandelier in nickel plated solid brass or bronze. Both fixture and shades represent chestnuts and chestnut leaves. The shades by Degué are in frosted moulded-pressed glass. Degué , the company of David Guéron, opened its doors in 1926. Guéron employed the ceramist and designer Cazaux as his artistic director and head designer. In 1936 production stopped and the firm finaly closed down in 1939.
All five shades are signed Degue. The chandelier is 76 cm high and has a diameter of 53 cm. The central globe has a diameter of about 15cm. It's in excellent condition. The fixture has been replated and patinated and the chandelier is newly wired. It holds european E14 sockets. I can wire it for the States or Japan with US candelabra base ones. The lamp will be shipped in two parcels.
