The Porsche 996 is a car produced by Porsche. It is the successor of the 993 and the first 911 with a water cooled 6-cylinder boxer engine. The Porsche 996 is the fifth generation in the evolution of the original (air cooled) 911. A very important part of the design of the 996 was done by the Dutchman Harm Lagaay. As of model year 2002, a “Targa” version was also available. (Text Wikipedia)
