1. "The King Lands att King sale and holds a parliament of french and yrish".

Dimensions 14.7 x 18.6 cm.

Good condition: short margins, paper is somewhat dirty. Mounted on an 18th century album page. Surface paper with small stains.

King James II invades Ireland with his troops at Kinsale on 12 March 1689 and holds a council with the French and Irish. Plate no. 3 in a series about the battle by the deposed Catholic king Jacobus II of England against the English army in Ireland in 1689.

Etching and engraving by an unknown maker. Published in Leiden by Johannes Tangena, in 1689.
