This woodblock print is part of the 'One Hundred Chrysanthemums' series. Throughout Japan, the chrysanthemum is revered as a symbol of durability and perfection. It is the official coat of arms of the emperor. These lyrical illustrations reflect the individual character of the many different varieties very well. With expressive line art and vibrant colours.
Measurements: 31.8 x 22.8 cm.
The woodblock print is in good condition. The binding holes can still be seen. A very thin strip is missing from the right side at the top, see the last photo.
The woodblock print will be shipped by registered post, in sturdy cardboard packaging.
