Original woodblock print - Teruhide Kato (1936-2015) - Published by Unsodo - Summer Bamboo at Sagano - Heisei period (1989-present).
After a successful career as an important contemporary kimono designer, Teruhide Kato started designed woodblock prints in ca. 1985. He used his beloved city of Kyoto as design for his striking designs, which depict the magic of this beautiful city in a unique way. His woodblock prints are printed on high quality paper.
In 1991 Kato debuted with his international woodblock print in New York. Kato's artistic style is unique and, just like his kimono design, his prints are a balance between traditional Japanese images and modern Japanese design aesthetics.
