Provenance: From an old British private collection.

This lot comes from the private collection of Mr. J. Bahamonde who over a period of 20 years acquired his collection from various prestigious dealers. His degree in archaeology from one of the best British universities and passion for Chinese art is reflected in this beautiful vase.

The big rouleau vase finely speckled in underglaze-blue decorated with gilt designs including mythical beast, idyllic landscapes, flowers and foliage; the underside with Kangxi mark within two double rings. For similar in blue glaze colour and gilt see Bonhams sales 14/05/2018 lot 139 and 21/07/2019 lot 276.


Height: 45.5 cm.


Condition: Very good, minor use related wear to gilt. NO Cracks. NO Chips.
