On offer is an original Black Forest Biedermeier Augenwender clock, built probably around 1820-1830 with wooden plates, Schottenwerk movement and eye-turning function, daily running time in accordance with the original pictures.

Picture is hand-painted, oil on zinc sheet and lentil-shaped eyes.

Black Forest wooden plate movement with recoil escapement, weight driven via chains, half-hourly chime on a coil gong.

The clock is complete with pendulum and original weights and the movement and striking mechanism as well as the eye-turning function work flawlessly.
