Rare mantel clock decorated with Boulle type marquetry - brass foliage on the background of faux tortoiseshell, with gilt bronze mounts.

Case in perfect condition, recently restored. Gilt bronze mounts complete, chemically cleaned to preserve the gold layer. Movement after clockmaster's overhaul in working condition. White dial with black Roman hour numerals and Arabic - minutes.

French, Parisian movement of very good technical quality stamped: JAPY FRERES & CIE / MED.D'HONNEUR / C.CH in oval / number: 3089 / 3 / 7. Complete with pendulum and winding key.
