Temple guards (2) - Bronze, Gold plated - Thailand - Second half 20th century

These male and female bronze temple guards are from Thailand and are partly gold-plated. They are also called Thepanom. They are kneeling with their hands in the Namaskara mudra, the gesture of greeting, prayer and worship.

Dimensions:

Height: approx. 22.3 and 21.8 cm.
Width: approx. 6.8 and 7 cm.
Depth: approx. 7 and 7.3 cm.
Weight: approx. 1704 grams combined.
