Sympisometer in oak cabinet with curved glass pane.
This is a liquid barometer where the resulting temperature corrections needed for mercury-free barometers are corrected.
For a reading, one can check the difference between the barometer tube and the thermometer tube.
Furthermore, the instrument still has a camphor glass or a so called Admiral Fitzroy storm glass. Here, the structure of the camphor crystals indicates the weather forecast.
at the right, there is a brass set pointer to fix the mode that was read.
The whole is in almost mint condition incl. English user manual.
