Mother of Good Council (Latin: Mater boni consili) is an invocation of Mary. Pope Leo XIII inserted the invocation ‘You Mother of Good Council’ into the Laurentan litany with the decree Ex quo Beatissima Vergine (on the blessed Virgin). Pius XII placed his pontificate under the patronage of the Mother from good counsel and wrote a prayer to her.
