Large celadon jade plaque figures – China – end of 20th Century

Offered from collection is a very nice and large celadon greyish-white colored jade plaque. This nice thin jade plaque is a true piece of art and one of the best we have in our procession. This large plaque has been tested as jade by sharp knife and it is not possible to make any scratch. This jade has been made in so called “ling long” technique, also referred to as "devils work" because of the intensive work which has to be done to make all these small penetrating cross-formed holes! In relief one can see a typical Chinese symbol decoration wishing good career (a scholar and his student), along with all kinds of symbols for wishing a long life; such as a crane, pine tree, and a deer with lingzhi fungus! High quality piece with good even color and only with 2 very small natural inpurities at back side only.

Condition: In very good original condition. No any damage!

Sizes: Length 11,4cm, width 5,9cm, thickness ca. 4mm. Weighing 60,6 gram.

Will be packed very well and shipped with registered track/trace, with insurance.
