CHATEAU LAMOTHE GUIGNARD-SAUTERNES
(1,5 l)

GRAPE VARIETY
Sémillon (90%), sauvignon (5%), muscadelle (5%)

ROBERT PARKER: 87/100
A Sauvignon Blanc-dominated personality characterizes the melony, herb-tinged, honeyed nose of this medium-weight wine. Relying on elegance, purity, and finesse as opposed to power and blockbuster strength, this medium-bodied Sauternes should be drinkable young, yet keep for 15 years. Apr 1999, www.robertparker.com

CHATEAU HAUT BOMMES - SAUTERNES (0.75 l)

GRAPE VARIETY
90% Semillon, 10% Sauvignon

Hand harvested over several passages to gather the finest grapes. Vinification and aging for 22 months in oak barrels.

Sight: Attractive lustrous deep gold. Smell: Complex powerful nose with aromas of honey and white fruit. Taste: Supple, powerful, and smooth, with aromatic woodiness. Perfectly balanced.

CHATEAU COUTET - BARSAC (0.75 l)

GRAPE VARIETY
sémillon 88%, sauvignon blanc 10%, muscadelle 2%
ANTONIO GALLONI 90/100

One of the oldest estates in Sauternais, the Château Coutet vineyard is also the largest in Barsac. Its soil is even, made up of fine gravel, calcareous silt and alluvium deposited by the Garonne. The estate also produces a creamy wine with incredible richness: the Cuvée Madame (production limited to 1,200 bottles in the best vintages) which rivals the Château d'Yquem. Its wines are well-crafted and characteristic, with fantastic creaminess and intense notes of citrus fruits, tropical fruits and honey.

The Château Coutet produces one of the Barsacs most sought after by the amateurs. Less rich than Yquem or Suduiraut, it has an impressive mineral texture and freshness thanks to its famous red soil – combination of iron oxide and limestone rock. It develops aromas of citrus fruits, tropical fruits and honey. This wine ages gracefully.
