A large antique block/pulley with 3 brass discs.
Is old, but still good condition. The brass discs still rotate well.
The thimble reads the following information:(see also photos)
Number 852 (on the side).
7-10-40 (presumably the year)
Proof load 4.5 ton
Block Patt 146B
Also a letter K with just before an unknown character. May indicate a mark. The connoisseur will undoubtedly know.
Because of this English designation, I assumed that the pulley came from England. But I am not sure about this.
Really a beautiful copy with nice patina. There is a crack on a wood side. However, this does not affect the pulley at all.
Is of course wonderful as decoration in a nautical interior or for example to hang a lamp.
I have also taken a picture with a wine bottle to give you an idea of the size.
Photos are part of the description.
The pulley will be carefully packaged and shipped with track and trace.
